Itinerary

Day 1 – Seattle
We welcome you to the city of Seattle in Washington State. You’re in a city of trailblazing coffee shops and endless markets with the biggest map marker we know – the iconic Space Needle. From here, you can look across the beautiful Puget Sound or even see the snow-capped peak of Mount Rainier on a clear-skied day. Spend your afternoon sampling local specialties and watching traders ‘tossing the fish’ at Pike Place Market before having a meeting at 6pm. A welcome dinner is included for you to become better acquainted with your tour leader and fellow travelers.
FEATURED HOTEL: THE ROOSEVELT SEATTLE (OR SIMILAR)
The Roosevelt Hotel Seattle is perfectly positioned in the heart of downtown Seattle, across the street from Washington State Convention Center. Only six blocks from the world-famous Pike Place Market, you’ll find Seattle’s top restaurants, luxurious stores and a one of a kind nightlife. Complimentary wine tasting and Wi-Fi is included. Cowtown’ – evident in the Calgary Stampede.
Included: Hotel
Optional Activities: Space Needle US $22-$29
Meals: Welcome dinner
Day 2 – Olympic National Park
Olympic National Park is one of the worlds most unique Heritage Site. At almost 1 million acres, the park protects old-growth rainforests, wildlife, and several distinctly opposing ecosystems and is mostly an untouched wilderness area. With 70 miles of wild and rugged Pacific coastline with sculpted sea stacks, this National Park is sure to be cemented in your minds and provide photos you will look back on for years to come.
Our first visit is the Hoh Rain Forest, an old-growth forest located in the stretch of the Pacific Northwest rain forest which once spanned the Pacific coast from southeastern Alaska to the central coast of California. If you are a Lord of the Rings fan, then this will amaze you! It is similar to walking onto a Lord of the Rings film set. Moss drips from the trees, dense trees provide camouflage for deer seeking refuge from predators. It is the perfect example of a forest which constantly renews itself from fallen trees. Your day is wrapped up with an amazing sunset at the beautiful Lake Crescent.
FEATURED HOTEL: LAKE CRESCENT LODGE (OR SIMILAR)
Historic Lake Crescent Lodge on the Olympic Peninsula in northwest Washington was built in 1915. This sets the stage for experiencing a turn-of-the-century resort in a contemporary setting. The comfortable and comfortably spacious guest rooms are nestled among the giant fir and hemlock trees on the shores of Lake Crescent. Here, you will comfortably settle into your cabin on the lodge grounds.
Included: Hotel
Meals: Breakfast
Day 3 – Olympic National Park
After your night at Lake Crescent, you will head off to Rialto Beach on Olympic’s wild Pacific coast. Imagine rocky beaches, giant drift logs, pounding waves and views of small islands called ‘sea stacks’ and Rialto is the image that you will conjure. Your hike will start at the car park for a two-mile trail along the beach to Hole-in-the-Wall. Along this trail, a huge array of trees and gigantic pieces of driftwood rest near the top of the beach. They bundle together naturally as if rising from the sand. Continuing your walk along the beach, you will notice an array of sea life ranging from whales, sea lions, and otters offshore to birds singing overhead and starfish lining the shore. Get out your camera and set it to panorama – you can scramble through the rocky arch for panoramic views of the other side.
In the afternoon, we will head out on kayaks, only seconds away from your accommodation. This peaceful place will reflect the mountains and calm your nerves as the afternoon draws to an end.
Included: Hotel
Optional Activities: Sol Duc Hot Springs US $15
Meals: Breakfast
Day 4 – Port Angeles – Victoria
First thing this morning, you will board the ferry for Victoria in Canada’s British Columbia. Victoria is an ideal place to spot Orca Whales. Because of this, we proudly include an Orca viewing Zodiac tour designed to search for these wonderful mammals. Zodiacs are rigid-hulled inflatable boats and respected worldwide for their superior design and safety on the water around Orcas. With two engines and seating for twelve, they’re perfect for a group to experience an exhilarating thrill in the open air.
FEATURED HOTEL: HOTEL GRAND PACIFIC (OR SIMILAR)
Located right on Victoria’s picturesque Inner Harbour, the Hotel Grand Pacific offers guests welcoming comfort, world-class facilities, an unbeatable location, and access to Victoria’s most exciting experiences.
Included: Hotel
Meals: Breakfast
Day 5 – MacMillan Provincial Park – Pacific Rim National Park – Tofino
Before heading inland and up to Cathedral Cove in MacMillan Provincial Park, you make your way around the coastal road. Here, you will find the endangered remnants of an ancient Douglas fir ecosystem – a rarity in the modern-day. The oldest trees we know of, date back approximately 800 years and can grow as tall as 75 meters with a diameter of around 9 meters. This whole area is evidence of mother natures ability to survive natural disasters such a fire that ravaged the area nearly 360 years ago.
From there, we ride inland toward the Pacific Rim National Park where we will walk the Schooner Cove Trail. This short trail is a popular two-kilometer hike within the national park for most fitness levels. The trail takes you through a lush rain forest passes over streams and arrives at the beachfront, serving up a magnificent vista. From here, you will check into your lodge at Tofino on scenic Lake Mackenzie for the next two nights.
Included: Yurt included
Optional Activities: Sea Kayaking – Tofino CA $75-$90
Meals: Breakfast and lunch
Day 6 – Tofino
Today is all about bears! Don’t be surprised if you also see whales and Bald Eagles, which are commonly spotted from the Zodiacs. A scenic boat ride on waters of the Clayoquot Sound inlets make for a fast way to exploring the protected wilderness beaches and inlets which the bears call home.
From late spring to October, it is common for bears to come down after hibernation to feed on shellfish and crustaceans. The benefit of traveling by Zodiac is it will allow us to get close enough without disturbing their natural feeding patterns – a crucial aspect of their lives. It is here you have the chance to witness mother bears teaching their cubs to climb trees and play on the beach. To wrap up this day of bears and wildlife, we honor the bear with a meal of our own – a salmon BBQ on the beach to round off an incredible day.
Included: Yurt Included
Optional Activities: Sea kayaking CA $75-$90
Meals: Breakfast and Dinner
Day 7 – Vancouver
It’s time to say goodbye to Vancouver Island as you set off from Nanaimo on a scenic ferry to the mainland across the Salish Sea, admiring small islands and the breath-taking panorama of the city of Vancouver as it comes into view. This cosmopolitan and diverse metropolis is a real contrast to the rest of British Columbia but always proves to be a highlight. Enjoy a scenic drive through Stanley Park, a 400-hectare green wonderland with authentic totem poles erected in the 1920s; and stop by Prospect Point, a scenic lookout where you can gaze out at spectacular views of Lions Gate Bridge, North Vancouver and West Vancouver.
This tour ends at our gateway hotel at approximately 17:00 hrs. We recommend booking post-tour accommodation if time allows. If you are planning to fly tonight, please do not book a flight that departs before 21:00 hrs.

Testimonials

  • There were total 12 of us in this tour. It was an interesting international combination and we fitted in the van perfectly as we are all in average size. Our tour guide Michael is knowledgeable, friendly and always tried to accommodate our request.

Do not miss out the Antelope Canyon (optional item), It’s one the best spots in this tour.

The tour was the best as we had good tour guide and a group of good people! all the places are worth-seeing and itinerary is well arranged. Thanks mike and Bindlestiff Tours!

A 3-day national park tour that you CANNOT miss!
  • Bindlestiff Tours was the highlight of our trip to the USA. We took a national parks tour to Zion, Monument Valley, Lake Powell, Antelope Canyon, Bryce and the Grand Canyon. High quality tour with fabulous hotels- And I found all the hot tubs!
We never went away hungry from the food choices Khriss made which included the surprise “Home made pie”, the chocolate cookies he provided for us during the long drives were very much appreciated.

Indeed, our group, to a person, said unsolicited that Khriss was the BEST driver/guide they had ever had and valued his shared knowledge, his expertise, his professional, punctual service, his books, and his patience. They especially remembered his contagious smile, Southern wit, love of John Wayne and the West, and his amazing ability to have all our luggage [those big bags our girls always take] in place at the agreed departure time! Yes, we had a great time and are so appreciative of Khriss, who went above and beyond to see to the needs of everyone in our group. I speak for the group in thanking you all for a wonderful and unique SW experience! THANK YOU!

Our small group had a very best trip to the SW US!
  • I recently came back from USA and I felt I had to share my experience with everyone.
After a lot of research in internet about which Company to use to travel from Vegas and see the Grand Canyon and the highlights around there, I am so happy I finally chose Bindlestiff tours.
My highlight of the trip was of course the helicopter flight over Grand Canyon, which was breathtaking. I would advise anyone to book the 55 mins flight in advance to avoid disappointment, for a bit more money than the 20 mins flight, you will be able to explore the Canyon best.
Our guide, Mike, was very knowledgeable , funny but professional and made the whole group bond. We started as 12 strangers and ended the tour as friends .The fact of being a small group made the interaction with each other very easy .
I felt this trip met my expectations if not exceeded them. This is a great choice if you don’t have a lot of time to drive freely and you want to see the National Parks highlights around Vegas.
If you are looking and looking and you are not sure which Company you should go for, don’t think anymore. Choose Bindlestiff tours and it won’t disappoint !

I cannot recommend this trip and Company enough
  • I spent 3 of my best days in the US on that tour. Perfectly organized and guided by JD Boyle, it gives the opportunity to visit legendary places and really feel the desert. To see the moon rise and the night fall over Monument Valley and the first sun rays above the same rocks the next morning was a dream come true. Thanks JD, thank you Bindlestiff! I hope to travel again with you some day:)

    National Parks Mini Explorer
  • Last summer I booked a 3 day trip covering Zion, Bryce, Monument Valley, Horseshoe bend, Grand Canyon, departing and end at Vegas. After one year, I still think this is the best trip I ever booked from a tour company. I was extremely lucky to have Vern as our guide & lead (also driver), a guy with great personality, also so experienced and professional in organizing everything. We were able to be quite flexible in deciding how long we wanted to stay in each place, which hiking trek to take, etc. I enjoyed every hiking route Vern recommended! I was travelling solo and was a bit concerned if I would be totally comfortable in joining a group tour, but it proved my concern was nonsense. The others in the group were very easy going and we got along well.

Every park has its own uniqueness and amazing views. I loved every place really. The highlight for me is Monument Valley, apart from the sunrise (we had a great camping spot for watching sunrise!) and the safari tour, the whole place just felt so spiritual (my very personal feeling).

I never felt rushed or bored during the 3 days. Most of the time I even forgot I was travelling with a tour company, I felt I was just travelling with a group of friends. Arizona and Utah not only have unique nature landscapes but also interesting social and culture characters.

I would love to highly recommend Bindlestiff to everyone. If I have the chance, I will do another trip with Bindlestiff.
