As the Coronavirus pandemic continues to drag on, there has been confusing information circulating as far as travel and what types of businesses are functioning. In Nevada, we have found that many entertainment venues like bars and nightclubs have been closed or are operating in very limited capacity.  One thing that makes it difficult for people traveling to Las Vegas is that these restrictions are continually changing, and may or may not be in place when you arrive.  This is making it difficult for people to plan trips as they do not know what the status will be with regards to hotels or entertainment that is available.  In other areas of confusion has been the status of national parks.  Even though these areas are outdoors and do not have the same kinds of potential threat as far as infections being transferred from person to person, they still create areas we are large amounts of people congregate, and this has caused the Federal Government to impose regulations on the way that they operate.  Many of the national parks are operating using limited amounts of staff, which means that certain areas may not be available when you arrive.  All of these types of aspects need to be considered during the planning phases of your trip, as national parks can be quite significant amount of time to drive through.  Nothing is worse than driving for a good amount of time only to find out that the things that you wanted to see are not accessible.  Even worse is not having any type of backup plan once you find out your original plan cannot be achieved.  In many areas there is no cell service or internet connection even find out what else you might be able to do.  Factor in that many of the national parks now require a permit that must be secure word upwards of a month in advance in order to gain entry, and you can see why many visitors have become frustrated with this option.  It appeared to be the perfect solution for family entertainment, but regulations have impacted even the outdoor spaces.

There are only a handful of professional tour operators still providing tours to national parks in 2020. Bindlestiff Tours has won out of their way to not only meet but to go even further than the CDC regulations in order to keep their guests safe.  Each vehicle is sanitized before any passenger boards, and every guest is temperature checked and required to answer screening questions before getting on board.  Tour capacities have been reduced so as to provide a socially distant environment inside of the vans and buses, and masks are required to be worn at all times by staff as well as guests.  There have been new versions of the tours created in order to satisfy self drive as well as private tour needs, and all community equipment and food has been transition over to being single use personal.  Through all of these steps Bindlestiff Tours is one of the few operators who is able to maintain operations and provide tours in 2020.
