Death Valley Tours In Summer Are Sightseeing

Bindlestiff Tours Is a specialized adventure tour provider offering tours from Las Vegas to Death Valley California.  The Death Valley national park is one of the most unique and spectacular protected spaces in the United States.  It is one of the most consistently hot and dry areas on the face of the earth, and is often compared to the most harsh spaces in Afghanistan as far as temperature and topical geography.  As a matter of fact, these two areas will often compete for the hottest temperatures on the planet at different times of the year.  Although there are debates over the highest air temperature ever recorded on earth, most attribute this record to the Death Valley area.  In the earlier part of this century, the records temperature of 134°is on record.  There are other areas who claim to have seen temperatures higher than this, but these recordings are debated as far as their validity.  Naturally, the best time of the year to tour Death Valley is in the winter do the fact that the landscape looks the same but the temperatures are lower.  However, if you are the adventurous type and would like to experience Death Valley for the reasons that looks the way it does, tours are available during the summer months as well.  Due to the extreme heat that will be seen on many of these days, we choose to change the tone of our tours of the area during the summer to be more sightseeing and a little less exploring.  This is due to the potential for our guests to overheat in the unexpectedly hot and dry climate that is Death Valley.  We take careful precautions to assure the safety of our guests, including air conditioned vans and ample supplies of water.

The Death Valley tour is a single day adventure that leaves from pickup points in Las Vegas in the morning and travels to Death Valley by early afternoon.  While the tour is generally follow a specific route, sometimes there will be alternative paths taken due to either extraordinary circumstances or areas of interest that may not be on the radar during other times of year.  This is seen during the bloom season every few years, especially during the times that have been identified as super blooms.  The typical route through death valley takes our visitors two Dante’s View, Zabriskie Point, Artist’s Palette, Badwater Basin, Furnace Creek and Devil’s Golf Course.  One of the main highlights of this tour is Badwater Basin, where the lowest point in the continental United States is able to be walked on.  The landscape is otherworldly due to the extreme heat that is seen at this point.  One of the more on features is the availability of seashells around the space.  This is due to the fact that the area was once covered by water.  Make sure you bring your camera for pictures that will look like nothing that you can compare on this planet.
