Please be ready 10 mins prior to departure – your tour will not wait.

This tour returns to the same location at approx 4pm on day 4. We advise you not to book any flights before 8pm if you intend to fly out that night.


Important things to note about your tour:

  • Please ensure that you have breakfast before you join the tour.
  • You have booked a camping tour. (Yes, this means tents!)
    • With the help of your tour guide, you will put them up and take them down.
  • Please have your local payment of $70 pp in cash to cover:
    • Lite breakfasts (muffins, fruit or cereal with tea or coffee)
    • Sandwich style lunches – (you make your own from our pre-shopped fresh ingredients and
      vegetarians are catered for with advance notice)
    • Evening meals
  • Your tour guide will suggest menus and help shop for food items.
    • Meals are cooked in camp as a communal effort. You will be expected to help.
  • Tour Guide Gratuities
    • It is customary to tip your guide. $100 per person is the recommended amount for this tour.
  • We highly recommend travel/medical insurance, please have your insurance details and your passport/photo ID ready for inspection at departure. You may also choose to travel without insurance, although we highly recommend that you have medical coverage in place.
  • The luggage allowance for this tour is up to 20kgs per person either a hard case or a backpack plus a small day bag for your camera, sunscreen etc. You will not be permitted to join this tour with more than your permitted luggage weight.

We recommend bringing the following items:

We provide all necessary camping equipment, including tents and 1 inch thick foam sleeping mat. Tents are twin share and solo travelers will be paired with another client of the same sex. We suggest you bring the following items:

    • 3-Season sleeping bag
      • You may rent a sleeping bag from us for $40 pp – please notify in advance.
    • Warm, layered clothing (You may experience both warm and cool temperatures. It is recommended that you pack warm socks, a sweater or hooded jacket)
    • Rainproof jacket (just in case)
    • Sun hat
    • Day bag to bring on your walks
    • Refillable water bottle
    • Toiletries for camping (including sunscreen and hand soap)
    • Camp towels and flip-flops (for showering)
    • Small camp pillow
    • Flashlight/ Headlamp
    • Comfortable walking shoes
    • Hiking poles if you’d like to use them
    • A few snacks for hiking that you know you’ll enjoy (there will be stops for snacks on tour as well)

Remember, there is no Wi-Fi on the bus and some locations do not have service.
