One of the commonly asked questions regarding our Canadian Rockies tours as if they are appropriate for senior citizens.  We ask that the minimum age of our guests who attended this tour be years old, and other than that we ask that the group size be a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 14.  As far as the maximum age for anyone who would like to take this tour, there technically isn’t one.  We would ask that the people who will be attending have a minimum level of active ability which will allow them to hike and do other physical activities like canoeing or nature walking.  You must understand that we’re not visiting any kind of national park that has specific facilities for the disabled, and as a result we must take this into consideration whenever we are bringing our groups out into the wild.  Although we take all the precautions that we possibly can, it must be understood that there will be limited access to medical facilities or medical care.  This means that if you have conditions that could possibly be dangerous and need immediate medical care, or if you feel that you do not have the physical stamina to keep up with a group that is engaging in physical activities involving walking or hiking, that you to not book the tour with a group that has a larger level of physical capacity.  The groups are private, which ultimately means that everyone in this group will be approved together and will be on the same adventure.  If you have chosen a group of people that has of the same level of physical activity abilities, then there should be no issues with anyone slowing the group down or creating a level of frustration for those with greater abilities.  We attend all activities together as a group, and embarked on all adventures as a group as well.  It is not suggested that we would cater to those with less ability for physical activity by leaving them behind.  All of this translates to the fact that there is no age limit as far as the Canadian Rockies tours that we offer, and Canadian Rockies tours for seniors are absolutely within reason.  If we book a group of seniors together, we can expect the levels of physical ability to be roughly the same, and we can speed up or slow down activity levels as necessary in order to cater to the entire group.  If specific medical needs are present in some of our members, we would ask that they take whatever precautions would be necessary for them to be outside in a setting that has little access for emergency personnel for the entire trip.  Our tours last seven days and leave from Seattle on select Sundays between June and August.  We find that the weather is the most applicable during this timeframe for camping outside and enjoying the parks and spaces without too much discomfort.  Naturally we do not control the weather or the settings.  If you like more information on Canadian Rockies tours for seniors, contact us today.
