Tour The Grand Canyon Adventure Style

The Grand Canon is one of the most magnificent places on earth to visit, and there are very few people who will tour the Grand Canyon and not be impressed.  One of the issues that people are encountering over the last few years however, is that they are visiting the Grand Canyon and not seeing it the way they thought it would look.  They have seen the majestic photos of the canyon sprawling out in front of the photographer with lush green trees dotting the skyline and vegetation making it look like every color in the world is represented.  They have seen pictures and videos of animals along the canyon walls, and heard about rafting trips and mule rides, helicopter tours and unbelievable hikes down to the canyon floor.  When they get there they find the Skywalk suspended above the canyon floor and get a view when they walk out on it that is otherworldly, but then they notice that it doesn’t have that scenic look that they expected.  It is very dry and brown, and doesn’t seem to have the animals and vegetation that they expected.  It doesn’t have the fantastic hiking and touring that they thought it would have.  Did they come at the wrong time of year? No, they came to the wrong part of the canyon.

There are multiple points that are considered the scenic viewpoints of the Grand Canyon, and as a result that is where the majority of tourists travel to.  The West Rim of the canyon is where the Skywalk is, and aside from the glass walkway there is not much else to do.  This section of the canyon is very much like a desert, and the site itself was chosen for the Skywalk specifically because it is only 2.5 hours drive from Las Vegas.  The more scenic area is the South Rim, where the majority of the beautiful pictures that you have seen of the canyon have been taken.  This is the area that was traditionally the place to go to until the Skywalk was built to lure tourists from Las Vegas who wanted to see the canyon but did not have multiple days to experience it.  The Skywalk was designed to get people to drive to it, walk on it, then drive home.  The Grand Canyon of the South Rim is a more adventure experience that is less processed and has more natural activities to do within it.  It is for this reason that Bindlestiff Tours decided to offer a one-day tour of the Grand Canyon that actually goes to the South Rim, instead of doing the same thing that everyone else does and just going to the Skywalk then driving home.  The one-day tour is a private tour because you are going to be able to choose the things you want to do during the time we are there.  There are so many choices of things to do at the Grand Canyon that we want to make sure you have the experience that you want, so we allow you to make the decisions as far as how we will spend our time.  Contact us today to find out more.
